Try this mac & cheese recipe from the 1987 Congressional Club Cookbook. "President Reagan's Favorite Macaroni and Cheese":
1/2 lb. macaroni - boil & drain Stir in: 1 tsp. butter 1 egg, beaten 3 cups SHARP cheddar cheese (reserve 1/2 c. for top) Put in buttered casserole. Mix together: 1 tsp. dry mustard, dissolved in 1 T. hot water 1 tsp. salt 1 cup milk Pour milk mixture over macaroni. Sprinkle with reserved cheese. Bake at 350, 45 min. until set.
